Here at the website that loves everything Bristol we've decided to set up an unofficial fansite for the city's most infamous teenager - Vicky Pollard. Often heard talking about "this fing wot you know nuffin about", she has the magical ability to baffle teachers and do-gooders alike - respect. What we need to know is..... is your little sister/daughter just like her? Are you a teacher with Vicky in your class? Are you afraid...perhaps you ought to be. What do you love about her? Do you find yourself using her phrases as if they were your own? Come on SPILL, you know you want to. Surrounded by these famous Bristolian vowels it's no wonder Matt and David fell in love with our accentl, anyways... Send in your photos of Vicky-alikes and we'll publish them in a picture gallery. Just before the launch of the third series of Little Britain, (currently showing on BBC3 Monday's 10.30pm but soon to be on Beeb1) Matt Lucas and David Walliams returned to Bristol, their old stamping ground from their university days studying drama, where we caught up with them....here's what they said about Vicky:- US:Where did Vicky come from? David: "We both studied in Bristol although not at the same time ... Matt did mornings and I did afternoons...and she was all around and you could always here her on the Badger buses." US: We're particularly proud of her here. Matt: "Oh dear." Matt:"While I was a student I went to the skating rink and there's a few Vicky Pollards there smoking on the ice - it's fearsome." David:"There were plenty of Vickys in Broadmead, but we believe there's a Vicky on every street corner in Britain." And on the setting up a fansite David's reaction was: "Well I'm absolutely chuffed." We hope your pictures and thoughts will give them a laugh so get sending.... |
