The BBC Breathing Places campaign reaches its end in autumn 2010, after five years. For us, it's been an enjoyable collaboration with partner organisations, community groups and schools.

An impressive number of teachers, classroom assistants and volunteers share the Breathing Places vision that encouraging young people to care for nature has educational and social value.

Your enthusiasm, skill and effort have helped transform school grounds across the country, improving them for nature and for communities.

You can be proud to be among 12,500 like-minded educators, from Shetland to the Channel Islands.
