WildDerby roars into action
Eager to build on our triumph with last year's BBC Breathing Places Year of Action, Derby City is gearing up towards creating more Breathing Places for people and wildlife during 2009. Opportunities have been organised to engage with communities, so that nature reserves, ponds and gardens will benefit. From the Derby City Pond Wardens Association to Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire, our partners are ready to deliver events such as Wild Week on Ponds, Wildlife Gardening Weekend, WildDerby Night Watch, WildDerby Big Day Out, Free Tree Giveaway and Garden Bird Bonanza to engage once again with thousands of people, and empower them to Do One Thing for wildlife.
