Wake up to bird song
Take time out to tune in to the dawn chorus
Wake up the natural way

Listen to that racket! The dawn chorus might sound like a cacophony when you’re trying to sleep, but tune in your ears and you’ll hear a symphony.
It's one of the wonders of wildlife so throw your windows open and enjoy it whether you're in the city or the country.
Of course, birds keep different hours to us so you'll need to poke your head above the duvet soon after 4am.

Leave your bedroom window slightly open and if you're really keen set your alarm for just before daylight.
The chorus begins when male songbirds sing to attract a mate for the breeding season. When one begins, the rest join in, defending their territory and each trying to out-sing the other. If you become a regular listener, you’ll soon start to identify each bird’s song.
The fuss stops when it's light enough to find some breakfast.
