Pupils and teachers at Turnshaws school were thrilled to receive a visit from members of the King's Division Waterloo Band dropped in on them.

It was the school's first visit from a military band and the school enjoyed the demonstration of instruments provided by the musicians, but some of their instruments were unusual!
