Bradford UnitedYou are in: Bradford and West Yorkshire > People > Bradford United > Bradford United Blog Bradford United BlogAs part of the Bradford United project, students and teachers from Hanson School and Laisterdyke Business and Enterprise College (LBEC) will be writing occasional blogs. Here, Danny - who presents one of the Hanson films - tells us how it's been... ![]() Hey, I'm Danny and I have always wanted to be an actor since I was in Year Six when I did my first ever performance 'Little Red Riding Wolf' so when they asked me to be the face of Hanson I was in total shock and excited! We were told I was going last for three minutes, which to me was a very short space of time to get everything in because there's so much to talk about Hanson. We had our first meeting with Anna including the members of staff involved and decided to do our film on stereotyping. ![]() Danny: As seen on TV! A few days later they told me that I was going to be the main presenter for Hanson =-). They then said that we will be filming outside my house to begin with at 7:30!! SO I HAD TO GET EVERYONE BEFORE FILMING. On the day they came really really early, 7 o'clock, and none of us were ready but luckily we were up! When we got to Hanson the winds were like gale force and I was so cold that I had to use Anna's coat. Presenting throughout the day was awesome and the team made me feel like I was part of the BBC. The chavs and the alternatives were the best and nervewracking bit for all of us. The most scariest part was the interview with Mrs Horsley, THE HEAD. We went to the BBC in Leeds to see our hard work edited and we were all embarrassed. When we arrived the building it was like looking to the future. Everyone somehow knew my name and treated me as I was one of them which made me feel proud. That's why the crew like working at the BBC because there's so much to do.
I think this project is going to be awesome and this project will allow us to express ourselves during the course. Everyone is dying to get themselves into the presenting position. Can't wait for the next installment. last updated: 22/04/2008 at 14:32 You are in: Bradford and West Yorkshire > People > Bradford United > Bradford United Blog |
