Cameras follow a group of children in Glasgow, Mansfield and London who live in the shadow of poverty, including Peter, who thinks his guitar-playing might be his way out. Growing up surrounded by gang fighting, drinking, drug dealing and crime, the film asks if they have the courage to rise above their circumstances and escape the deprivation around them.
