Script Room

Well, we've certainly had some interesting responses (!) to our verdict emails on Script Room. We do realise how disappointed people are to not progress further – but the reality of the competition you all face from one another as writers is what it is. We just don’t have the resources to enter into further correspondence or offer feedback or notes to everyone.

So for those of you who have emailed in - the whole of the writersroom team is currently working full-time on our TV Drama Festival happening next week in Leeds, and this will keep us occupied full-time until the week of the 16 July at the earliest. So – please be patient, please don’t keep emailing us, the more the messages pile up in the inbox, the longer it takes to process everything. And if it is a general question that is answered in the obvious/relevant place on our website, then we just won’t reply to those emails – so please don’t be offended if we don’t reply. Remember - we are a very small team… !

writergirlj84 - due to BBC policy on queries regarding entries to something like Script Room, we have to specify in our terms and conditions that we will hold onto scripts for up to three months after the final selection of writers is announced, which won't be until August. but we will send them back as soon as we can thereafter ...

I was just wondering when the scripts that did not go further were going to be posted back. I sent mine with a stamped addressed envelope. Do I need to send an email or have they not been sent yet. Thanks for your time
