Scotland Writes

Post categories:

Paul Ashton | 14:17 UK time, Monday, 26 October 2009

Due to the recent postal disturbances we have a slight amendment to our dates for the Scotland Writes competition. The deadline for submissions remains the same. But in order that we receive scripts potentially caught up in sorting offices, we will start sifting them later than originally planned. And so instead of announcing the winners on December 7th, we will now announce them on December 14th.

Of course you can also send them in a bit early to make sure they're here in good time, just to be sure...

Grateful for this change, as I'm somewhat frazzled by my attempts to get my entry there on time. I spent yesterday waiting in for a courier to pick up my script, figuring this would be more reliable than the post. They didn't turn up - seems this is fairly common, they're not coping with extra demand. So I've now entrusted my script to Royal Mail.

Would it be possible to hand deliver to BBC Scotland offices at Pacific Quay, Glasgow? This would mean I would know for sure it had arrived in BBC Land.

    Thanks

Just a note of appreciation for the roadshow - nice to put faces to the names. And a qustion: will you be informing those who are shortlisted but may not make the final cut? Just wondering about the process. Ta.
