Amen to that. I'm currently writing for love, not money (freelancing as a e-marketeer for the £££'s) with the hope to swap as and when my writing takes over...

"Shame love doesn't pay the bills!" is perfectly correct.
"Shame love don't pay the bills" is more satisfying. To me.
This 'being a writer' thing's a great lark, innit?
