The session was recorded and has just been sent to the transcribers. With a bit of luck we should have an edited version on the site by the end of the week. If not, then it'll be first thing next week.
If you can't wait that long, several people who were there have already blogged about it. Robin Kelly has the links to them on his blog.
Video isn't searchable. A written-up version of the talk means that anyone searching for it via google or one of the other search engines will be able to get to exactly the information they need.
We don't have the resources, money, training, or time to edit audio or video. We're a small team here, and the most cost-efficient way of getting useful information up on the web is by an edited transcript. (Unedited video or audio isn't a goer in the first place - there's an awful lot of circumlocution in an interview from the best of speakers.)
Any video produced by the BBC needs to be produced to BBC standards - which means training, extra layers of editorial signoff, and investment in equipment.
So, short version: Video would be more expensive, more time-consuming, more bureaucratic, and less useful to you lot. And that's why we don't do it.

Hi Paul,
Any chance of posting up a few highlights of the Q & A for those of us who can't make it due to work commitments?
Thanks

There are actually a few reasons why we don't do this. I think it's worth a small detour to explain why.

Piers,
Good answer.
Personally, I think there should be some kind of award for anyone who uses the word 'circumlocution'. Excellent.
