Receipts
If you've entered this year's Sharps competition - thanks.
We're now working through the pile of scripts, logging them, and handing them over to our trained team of script-reading ninjas.
There are still more than a hundred scripts to log, so if you haven't received an email confirming receipt yet, don't worry - it's almost certainly just that we haven't got to it yet, and you should get one in the next few days.
If you haven't had an email saying that we've received your script by Monday 23rd June, drop us a line at writersroom@bbc.co.uk and we'll have a poke down the back of the sofa to see if it's hiding down there.

Here's a question that's off topic: Is there a Writersroom database of all the people who have ever sent stuff to the writersroom, and what we have sent?

Melchie: No, we're still planning to contact the successful people on Friday. Everyone who sent in a script should also have their receipt by then - but if you haven't, drop us a line so we can make sure we've put it in the right place.
Aspie: I'm not quite clear what you're asking here - we keep records of the title and writer of any unsolicited script we receive, if that's what you want to know...

Reference 'Oscarthewise' comment on receipt of scripts and your comment to contact you on Monday 23 if confirmation still hasn't been received ... that does mean it hasn't been seen, let alone read... but you have deadlines to meet, so this is a tricky one.
I posted mine by special delivery on Saturday morning and was informed it should get to you by 0900 Monday 16...
I bet you're getting sick of this...

I had my Sharps script delivered by Taxi Friday 13, as I didn't trust the post, (and I was too sick to do it myself). On Friday 20, I received an e mail from Writersroom asking if I had submitted as all they had was my registration.
I e mailed them by return e mail but I got the standard refer to FAQ response.
That's Friday the 13 for you!
