One thing nobody could deny is that the journalist John Pilger is controversial. Whenever he puts pen to paper you can bet there will be opprobrium and praise in equal amounts.
John Pilger will be appearing on World Have Your Say tomorrow, Wednesday 9th May. He'll be talking about his new film: The War on Democracy which comes out on June 15th and takes a look at Latin America. The man himself says: "I’ve long regarded Latin America as the source of hopes of freedom from poverty for the very poor, and the current, extraordinary rising of millions against the old order is defying all the stereotypes."
If you have a question you'd like Mr Pilger to answer then please let us know by posting on this site, joining the debate over on bbcnews' main debating arena 'Have Your Say', sending us an e-Mail or texting us on +44 77 86 20 60 80.
Mr Pilger has never been shy of controversy . . . .

Ed Husain is coming on the programme tomorrow. He's a British Muslim who became an Islamic fundamentalist when he was 16. Five years later he turned his back on fundamentalism and returned to normal life. Now he's written a book about his experiences.
If you'd like to ask Ed a question, post it below, or email us, and if you'd like to come on air, leave your number as well.

Monday March 12 is Commonwealth Day, when the 53 member states mark their membership of the loose association of former British colonies, dependencies and other territories. And Mozambique, which has no historical link to the British Empire.
Ahead of the anniversary, the organisation's secretary-general, Don McKinnon, will come on to World Have Your Say to answer your questions.
What would you like to ask him?

Henry sent this to me earlier. If you'd like to give us your view on life in your country, email me and I'll post it on the blog.
Life in Nigeria is a bit rough but well there is no other place I can call home but here so I have to make it what I want it to be. As for the big stories making rounds in Nigeria for now, its all about politics since we are in an election year. The ruling party in Nigeria called the Peoples' Democratic Party is campaigning seriously as well as other political parties.

We’re off to Boston. I’d love to know if you want to talk about the new software that gives people in countries with internet censorship the chance to browse unobserved, if Harvard’s first female president is well overdue, if James Sherley’s case is about racism, standing against the scientific tidal wave or just media manipulation, if the blinking bomb-scare adverts were worthy of a place on World Have Your Say and most importantly where I can find my favourite brand of jeans…
Your help is needed. What should we talk about on our trip to Boston? You set the agenda. We listen (and shop on our day off).

This week the BBC World Service is broadcasting lots of programmes dedicated to understanding and exploring the world through the eyes of under-18s. We're calling it Generation Next - you'll have heard the phrase a lot if you're a regular listener. And the main event of Generation Next is happening tomorrow. It's called School Day 24 (lots of names to remember I know) and we're in Chicago to add WHYS's contribution.
I am writing to you from one of the many computers in the library of Gage Park High School. Outside snow which fell several days ago is still gleaming brightly (it's breakingly cold so not going anywhere), and inside most of the kids are in for the first class of the morning - in fact the bell is ringing as I write so that must mean things are under way.

Over the past two months there's been a controversial story brewing here in the UK involving the Serious Fraud Office, the Saudi Royal family, a whole bunch of fighter jets, British executives, high class hookers and er, sets of cutlery.
It sounds like your typically British sleazy tabloid scandal but it's something we here at WHYS feel has real global reach: is it ever right to pay bribes in business?

Join us on Friday for a special programme on Cuba. You can put your questions to Dr. Wayne S. Smith...
Saturday marks the 80th birthday of Fidel Castro, 50 years on from the date that he and fellow rebels landed by boat in Cuba to launch their revolution.
The birthday festivities had been originally scheduled for August but were postponed due to Castro’s ill health. He has also stayed away from the opening ceremony of his five day long 80th birthday celebration in Havana under doctors' orders.
Are you in Cuba? Are you expecting Castro to turn up for the main event on Saturday?

WHYS is the show where you set the agenda. We are always looking for callers to raise issues that they feel strongly about, especially if they think it is being ignored by the media.
Khaled Armana, from the Netherlands, phoned into the show a couple of weeks ago, to comment on the Burkha debate. He argued that the Dutch parliament should not be concerned with burkhas, since there were far more important things they should deal with. One of which was the rights of disabled people in the country. Ros, presenting the show, interrupted to say that whilst this could not be discussed on that show, we would follow it up...

Right now it feels like we've barely landed in London back from a WHYS trip before we start planning the next one, but you wont find me complaing.
Having just returned from a brilliant tour of the US, and Richard and Ros's impromptu trip to Amsterdam on Monday, we've been looking ahead to our forthcoming trip to Turkey. And as always, we want your help.

We get a lot of story suggestions from you and everyone is read and considered. This is one email we're definitely going to do pick up on, probably on Tuesday's show (21st November). Let us know if you want to take part. Remember that while Marcy writes of her experiences in the States, we'd like to hear your perspective wherever you are.... this is the email Marcy sent....

We're grateful for all of the story ideas that you send us here at World Have Your Say. Here’s three of them, plus something I’ve been thinking about. Let us know what you think? If you’re not interested or feel the ideas aren’t worthy of a discussion on the show then say. Equally if you are interested, please help us develop the ideas. here they are...

Later this year the BBC is launching Generation Next, a week of special programmes dedicated to understanding and exploring the world through the eyes of the next generation.
We want to find out what the two billion people under the age of 18 think is important, what they feel about the big issues of the day, and what stories we should be covering in Generation Next.
Here on World Have Your Say we'll be trying to hear from as many under-18s as we can, talking about what they want to talk about.
If you are under 18 then please get in touch - or if you know anyone under 18 ask them to contact us. If you're an old codger like me then please tell us what you want to hear from tomorrow's adults.

Fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq and now in Lebanon and Israel dominate the headlines, but there are also smaller conflicts around the world. In 2004, the BBC did a programme called One Day of War, and the editor said that he had to choose which fighters in 70 conflicts around the world to choose for a 90-minute documentary.
We've had several suggestions over the last few days on topics, and Jefferson in Zimbabwe sent us this one:
Thanks for enlightening progs. I really do enjoy the interactive nature and the research that you guys put in. I have one request. I would like you to run a programme if possible, interview the mothers, etc of soldiers that have their sons or daughters at the battlefront. I know that you guys would find a suitable angle to my suggestion.
Thanks Jefferson. Do you have a son or daughter fighting in a war? Get in touch. Leave a comment or send us an e-mail, and be sure to leave us a phone number where we can call you. Hopefully, we can do this programme soon.

I had an e-mail on Friday from the Editor of the BBC 2 flagship news programme "Newsnight". Peter Barron had heard that we had contributors from 35 different countries when we asked the "Religion or Nationality" question on Thursday and Friday of last week.
His programme have been asking for people to nominate the best public services in the world and he was wondering if it was something our programme wanted to join in with because of the global reach of WHYS.
I said yes, provisionally, but we'll ask you....

Is bullying as a form of discipline a 'normal' part of army life or is it unacceptable punishment?
There are recent cases of severe punishment, resulting in injury or death, from several countries and we want to know what you think. Have you served in the army? Is bullying part of what toughens up recruits and makes them better soldiers or just an outdated and dangerous practise.
Join our online debate to tell us your opinion - remembering to add your number if you'd like to be a caller on the show - and World Have Your Say are hoping to host the discussion on Tuesday.

I have been playing football, soccer as it's called where I'm from, for more than 20 years now, although a knee injury keeps means I can't be the weekend warrior I used to be. I'll go down to the local pub to catch US games for the World Cup. It will be better than the last World Cup in Japan and Korea, when I had to stay up until the middle of the night to watch matches.
Having said that, there is no way that I can compete with Mark, Richard or Pete, when it comes to footie madness. We're sure that there are some of you out there who couldn't be bothered that the World Cup is going on for the next month. How are you going to escape? Are you stocking up on DVDs? Do you have a long holiday planned. Tell us your escape plans. We hope to discuss this on Monday.

A few weeks ago we had a "brainstorm" in the office (alright then, a chat) about what we'd call the category of stories we're looking at and may do if we can. "Just Maybe" got the most votes , while "things we're looking at and hope to be able to do if we get the right people to talk" came last. Still, that's democracy for you.
So here's a few stories that are "on the bench" (another contender) at the moment. Feel free to add to these-or help us- as much as you can.
The BBC has been carrying this story recently ; the tale of a 4 year old Indian boy who is a phenomenal runner
and a few weeks ago we were looking at this story too....the 9 year old Mexican bullfighter
