As news reports continue to come in as to exactly what happened on the night Bob Woolmer died it's now clear that he was murdered. There's so much i'd like to say about this story but until all the facts come out I think i'll keep my thoughts to myself. Nevertheless I think this is a must do story for WHYS and i'd love to know what you'd like to say about this. Are you shocked, angry, saddened, surprised, all of the above or none of the above? What are your memories of the man? Let us know..
Mark's already sent his ideas for today's show and I pretty much agree so here they are...
Woolmer is way up the list, as is Gore. No, not the horror variety, the former presidential candidate variety. They'll be environmentalists in the audience today who've all got opinions on him. Is he the man to save the planet? Is he running for president or not? Do we believe him? Is he sincere?
A prominent Roman Catholic archbishop in Zimbabwe has called for mass street protests to force President Robert Mugabe from power. The Archbishop of Bulawayo, Pius Ncube, told a news conference in Harare that he was willing to stand in front of "blazing guns" if necessary. Are mass street protests the only way to resolve the current situation in Zimbabwe? Would you be prepared to lay down your life for your freedom? Should leaders of organised religions be speaking this way?
And finally... I'm adding this one because it made me laugh. It's the story of David Opati a.k.a "Kenya's naked man". He poses from billboards across the country, asking people to open a bank account. But - in what is considered a daring move in Kenya - he is dressed in nothing but floral boxer shorts, socks and shoes. Have you seen the picture? Did it distract you as you were driving past? Would you like to see more semi-naked men like David on billboards in your country?
