"STOP SHOUTING" you said
Tonight's programme was very passionate and fiery and you seemed to like it, you can read your emails and texts here. However, my inbox went mad in the last 15 minutes of the programme with your complaints such as this from Laura
"Stop interrupting each other like crazy people! It’s impossible to understand what the hell you are saying and why you are saying it! Host, get control of everyone so we can figure out what your points are. At this point with all the interrupting, we are all sick here in the office."
This from Julie
"I usually find your program interesting and informative. However, today's program is ridiculous. The group of people on your show are not getting anything accomplished. No one is being allowed to finish a comment. People are constantly interrupting each other, even the hosts. The hosts should moderate the show better, allowing one person to finish a comment and allowing another person agree or contradict. I will be happy when today's show is over!"
And this from Bob who says
"I am trying to listen to this program but it is so annoying I had to just turn it off - I just wanted to slap both the speakers. Who wants to listen to people shouting over each other so that the listener cannot understand either one? Talking over another person and not listening to what they are saying shows amazingly poor conversational skills - and by the way, it's very bad radio. "
And this text from Bharat, Berlin, Germany
"Would you ask your audience to use less cliche and stereotypes and have a sensible discussion."
But perhaps you agree with Nick in Zambia who says
"[The] debate is very exciting - but the women have won hands down."
We're sorry, the debate clearly fired people's passions and we'll try harder to translate that in to an orderly but focussed discussion.
Please turn your radios back on and hear our second Mumbai debate tomorrow.
