Are boot camps the answer to unruly teenagers?

Socialist Presidential candidate in France, Segolene Royal, has suggested that violent youths should be sent to boot camps for military training if they break the law.

Forced military service was also a massive talking point when World Have Your Say went on the road and broadcast from a school in Washington DC. We also had Israeli young people in our Jerusalem office, one of whom had completed their obligatory service, and our American students had lots of questions for him.

So we want to know if you think boot camps are the answer to troubled teenagers? Will it provide the discipline they need or is it too harsh a punishment for a one-time offender? We've set up a website debate you can join or just leave a comment here. And if you want to come on the programme, please include a phone number.
