Svan's appointment with destiny

DREIEICH-OFFENTHAL - OK, so the part has arrived.

There was real tension in Svan this morning when I called the garage to find out whether it had arrived.

The mechanic, who is now introducing himself by his nickname, swiftly put me on hold for ages and came back saying that he'd phone back.

The wait seemed to last ages but eventually he delivered the good news and sounded a little bemused when I started calling him my best friend.

While all this was going on Ricco was busy sorting himself out with two laps around the Hockenheim racetrack this evening.

But I guess it all depends on the mechanic successfully installing the new part and Svan starting so we can drive there...
