Confidence high for Hyde Park
Last weekend I enjoyed the biggest win of my career so far at the Mazda London Triathlon.
I love that race, it's the biggest triathlon in the world in terms of participation, with 13,000 athletes racing; it was a real buzz to cross the line first and I felt in really good shape.
It also gave me a massive, much-needed confidence boost ahead of this weekend, when I will be taking part in my biggest race of the year, the World Championships Series event in Hyde Park.

This race is very important to me and will become increasingly important over the next three years, climaxing at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
I will have three years to practice on this course so I want to start off with a good result. If I can associate this race with success it can only benefit me at the Olympics!

I'm really looking forward to it, I hope you are too. Both the men's and women's races will be heavily contested as athletes hit their peak form for the year.
Triathlon is booming, we're about to see the most important triathlon the UK has ever seen and it's never been more exciting. It's a free event in a fantastic location, a guaranteed great day out.
Watch Will in action at the London World Championship Series triathlon on Saturday 15 August from 1300-1630 on BBC One and the BBC Sport website (UK users only).

Hey there. I'm Will Clarke - a professional triathlete living in Loughborough. In 2007 I finished in the top five at the World Champs, I was British national champion in 2008 and went to the Olympics in Beijing. I look forward to giving you an insight into my career as it happens. It's a hell of a journey!

Good luck Will. I also took part in the London event - my first Tri - and absolutely loved it. Looking forward to doing more before the end of the season...

I don't want to rain on your parade, Will, but my friends and I are having a picnic in Hyde Park on Saturday, and it looks like your route goes right through our blanket of deli-based snacks and bubbly/pot noodles and special brew (depending who does the shopping). Sorry, but you'll have to go around.

Hyde Park will be a jolly place to be this Saturday - I will be there with a few friends. I am sure you will get round quicker than us - though my friend "Pygmy Goat" is expecting to do well, just not so good at the swimming.

Good luck this weekend in Hyde Will, I can't wait to come off crutches and get back into the best rythmn in the world.
Aiming for IRONMAN UK 2010, for a change.
