Update, Thursday, 11 November: Watch the programme here from 34 minutes [available until December]

John Sergeant leads Llangollen eisteddfod parade - kinda

Cast your mind back to earlier this summer and the colourful dancing parade winding its way around the streets of Llangollen during the opening day of the international eisteddfod.

And, among others, seeing former TV political reporter and Strictly Come Dancing contestant John Sergeant leading the dancers and musicians and wondering what the heck he was doing out in front.

Well, all will become clear when his new three-part TV series gets its first airing, John Sergeant on the Tourist Trail [Watch here from 34minutes].

He talks here about the programme which includes him seeing Llangollen's annual world music and dance festival from the perspective of overseas visitors, specificially competitors from Java.

Did I get this right? John Sergeant wears hat while sitting down to meal in pub and in company with ladies and then, still hatted, walks up to altar in what was his father's church. Did I miss something such as some medical reason like ringworm. Humphpaul

Yup, it would seem he even sleeps in it! I had a quick chat with him at Llangollen - a likeable chap - with or without the hat!

Does 'yup' mean he did have ringworm? If so I apologise. However he did not wear one on the dancing program. A fedora for tangos or a Spanish sort of hat for paso doble would have been appropriate etc.Still, I seem to be the only one querying this so it must be me.
