Official news that North Wales Chief Constable Richard Bruntrom is to retire in July received widespread coverage over the weekend - but none of it showing much support for the man never afraid to stand out.
WalesOnline used the opportunity to re-quote some of the chief's remarks over the years, including:
"It's perfectly possible to lead a normal life and hold down a job while being addicted to heroin."
