How the Corus cuts are being felt at home, far and wide

We'd been holding over breath all weekend after hearing that Corus was to announce big job cuts on Monday morning.
Truth be told, our main concern was the nearby Deeside plant and, compared with Llawern, near Newport, we got off lightly.
Searching social network sites like Twitter [what's this?] I wanted to see how individuals were reacting to the news:-
One wrote: Drowning my sorrows since Corus have announced more redundancies...and I think I'm definitely going this time :(
Then, searching the news sites, you can see how widely the effects are being felt:- 700 going at Rotherham; 800 in the Dutch town of Ijmuiden; 93 at Scunthorpe; and 73 at Llandybie.
I've created a RSS feed [what's this?] to keep across all the latest stories on this issue with key word Corus and which I'm using in my feed reader [what's this?].
