North Wales Police and other forces in Wales are pushing the button today on interactive maps on their websites to highlight problems at ward level.

Just go to the force homepage and input your postcode to see what their priorities are in your area or scroll over the map to look at crime statistics for your community - it makes for interesting reading:-

Police have pledged to break the supply of drugs and drug dealing at Plas Madoc and Cefn Mawr; there is suspected drug dealing in Mostyn; anti social behavour in St Asaph, Ruabon, Rhosnesi, Greenfield, Flint, Northop, Marchwiel, Ffrith Garden, Prestatyn; dog fouling in Erddig and Llangollen; "inconsiderate and hazardous parking" in Queensferry; fly tipping and graffiti at Garden City; and speeding in Denbigh, Prestatyn, Mancot and Bagillt.

Contributors on the BBC News News Forum have mixed views.

Phil Howells points out: "If I was a criminal, I would want to know exactly where the police were putting their manpower."
