Once again there are calls for St David's Day to be made a bank holiday in Wales, as reported by the Daily Post. The article lists the number of bank holidays enjoyed by other European countries - while England and Wales have a mere eight, Slovenia have twice that with a whopping 16 bank holidays a year! Perhaps we really could do with one more in Wales?

I think we should have a day off for this as it will make us remember more and think about it.

Yes Why not have a St. David's day as a bank holiday. Most other countries have holidays on their Saint's days. We will still be a long way behind other countries.
