Bank holiday weekend weather
The weather is more like Autumn today: cool and windy with heavy, blustery showers and gusty winds.

Well another Bank Holiday weekend is almost upon us, the last until Christmas.
When the holiday was first introduced in 1871 it fell on the first Monday of August but after a few washouts during the 1950's and 1960's the Government decided to move the Bank Holiday in Wales, England and Northern Ireland to the last Monday in August.
Today's weather is more like Autumn than Summer thanks to the remnants
of Hurricane Bill bringing plenty of cloud, rain and gusty wind.
There's a large European Eagle Owl living at large in Cardiff....
Batten down the hatches the first major hurricane of the season is now entering into the north Atlantic and tracking east towards the British Isles!
After Llandudno, we headed south on Wednesday to Soar y Mynydd in Ceredigion and Cil y Cwm in Carmarthenshire which are two stopping points on the Trans Wales Gore 2009 Mountain Bike Race.
I've been a bit quiet on the blog front this week. I have been writing them but some of the places I've been to haven't had mobile reception so I haven't been able to send emails.
Loggerhead turtles have been sighted and washed up off the Gower recently.
I'm on road again this week with Wales Today's summer tour. This year the tour has a sporty theme so Claire Summers and I are trying out different sports as we travel around the country.
Well the weather's been up and down like a yo-yo this week. Cloudy and damp one day, fine and sunny the next and it's looking pretty mixed for the weekend too. A little rain but some sunshine as well. Sunday looking the better day.
Some of you have been on the look out for the Perseid meteors recently including Mike Davies from Neath.
I was asked the other day whether a rainbow is possible at night and the answer is yes.
Early morning, leaning on the railings of the see-through Bailey bridge, I was watching the water race below me, fast and peaty from rain in the mountains.
Well it's my last day at the Eisteddfod today and the week has flown by. My highlight of the week was having a go at clog dancing. It was good fun but I don't think I will be giving up the day job just yet!
The weather doesn't look too bad on the whole this weekend. I can't promise wall to wall sunshine, some cloud is likely but apart from the odd shower the emphasis is on a lot of dry weather. The best of the sunshine on Saturday morning.
When I pulled the curtains back this morning I was greeted with mist and fog in Corwen. An early sign of Autumn, I thought to myself but the sun is still pretty strong at this time of year so the mist and fog soon lifted leaving another fine and pleasantly warm day at the Eisteddfod in Bala.
Well the weather is much better at the Eisteddfod in Bala today. The sun is shining and it's looking dry for the rest of the week too. So if you're coming along don't forget your hat and suncream!
Bore da! I felt a bit disappointed this morning when I woke up to find it dry in Corwen. There were even a few peeps of sunshine.
Hello Shwmae?
I hope you a good weekend. Saturday started off wet but thankfully the weather did cheer-up through the day.
