This particular clip features the dawn chorus. Listen out for the pied fly catcher and wood warbler who are the two main stars.

fantastic sound, and I could easily identify most of the birdsong. In my part of the world (west sussex), we just dont get this amount of birdsong anymore without background noise from cars, aircraft etc.
looking forward to more of these blogsounds from Wales, and perhaps a clip of the Goshawks calling, if that is possible without disturbing them.

Birds apart - what was the fantastic music track intro to your Welsh location (some choir) singing a song that included 'we are.... etc).

Hi, everyone - I'll pose your qus to chris.
The 2 main birds featured in this clips were the wood warbler and pied flycatcher.
The woods surrounding the hotel here at lake vyrnwy are spectacular - full of beautfiful old trees and bluebells and only a stones throw away so chris spends many hours wandering around with his sound recording kit.
He's going to supply with some Manx Shearwater recordings from our recent Bardsey trip soon so that should soon amazing.
I was there and it was a surreal experience but chris should have sounds from the underground burrows as well as the wing beats of the birds coming in to land and their eerie calls from out at sea.

Just trawled back to collect this one! Ok so it's 1am in the morning, but this is my lullaby as I'm turning in now with another wonderful sound rining in my head!
