Welsh actor Andy Whitfield diagnosed with cancer

Amlwch-born actor Andy Whitfield, currently starring in controverial American television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, has put his acting career on hold while he receives treatment for cancer - as reported by the Daily Post today.

Whitfield moved to Australia in 1999. He stars in the controversial 'swords and sandals' series with fellow British actor John Hannah, and also starred in 2007 film Gabriel.

    Dear Andy, Sorry to hear this news, hope your treatments goes well & easy, also lets not forget the others with the same condition good luck to them too!!!
    Andy my friend if you made it through the arena you will make it through this.
    Regarding the movie I loved it was excellent, haven't seen a good movie in a long time,,,,
    can't wait for part 2, hope to see you in the movie, because without u, there is no Spartacus,
    you are 1 kind of a man.
