Charlotte Church's current EP - Three - is a couple of universes away from the music that made her an international star.

It's an atmospheric and organic collection of songs that are simultaneously introspective and breathtakingly beautiful, all gilded with Charlotte's preternatural voice and her exceptional band's dynamic range.

I had the good fortune to interview Charlotte a couple of weeks ago. Our conversation wasn't the aural equivalent of poking yet another paparazzi lens through a hedge in her back garden, it's a far more interesting insight into her passion for making original, genre-defying music.
