The film tells the story of how South African president Nelson Mandela approached Springbok rugby captain Francois Pienaar ahead of the 1995 Rugby World Cup in a bid to unite the racially divided country through the sport.

Morgan Freeman plays the president and Matt Damon portrays Pienaar, while Jones - who will be recognisable to Welsh television fans as Moz from Belonging - plays the part of Etienne Feyder, part of Mandela's security team.

You can catch the film in cinemas from today, and read an interview with the actor on our BBC Local NW Wales site.
