It's a glorious end to the working week with plenty of sunshine and temperatures up to 24C in Usk.

However, the weather will become fresher and more unsettled over the coming weekend.

Rain coats will come in handy on Saturday with strong to gale force winds, especially along coastal areas.

The wet weather will spread eastwards through the morning but by late afternoon it should become drier and brighter in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

Elsewhere, the rain will become patchy but it will remain mild with temperatures between 17-20C

The rain should clear much of Wales by the evening but Saturday night will still be blustery.

Sunday looks like the best day of the weekend with sunshine and blustery showers. The showers will be scattered so many of us will escape them altogether and remain dry

The weather is expected to settle down as we go through the course of next week with high pressure gradually building from the south west.

For the Green Man Festival this weekend - wellies and sunglasses will come in handy!

Have a great weekend.
