Elsewhere, and from an entirely different musical aesthetic, Cardiff's Underpass (aka Lee Marshall) talks about his excellent d├ębut album Disorienteering. An album that is far better described by its title than most.

Hear the initial bleeps, beats and sweeps of the album and you'd imagine a par for the course, pretty predictable cut 'n' paste job in Ableton Live. But the mists soon descend and you find yourself stumbling around in something much more eerily beautiful, spidery, Cure-like guitars creeping round you, strange and compelling Will-O-The-Wisp melodies trying to lead you further away from the path. It's a beautiful and singular album.

Longstanding and highly respected Valleys music promoter Glyn Mills tells us how the musical community in south Wales is hoping to raise money for the victims of the Haitian earthquake.

Huw Williams blows dust off the tome of Welsh musical history that details Alun Davies' 1972 solo album, Daydo.
