The historian Professor Prys Morgan will give the second annual Sir Kyffin Williams lecture this evening, focusing on the life and works of artist and autobiographer Thomas Jones, traditionally known as Thomas Jones, Pencerrig.

Like Kyffin, Thomas Jones was a landscape artist and was the first artist to produce oil landscapes in the open air as finished paintings.

Organised by the Sir Kyffin Williams Trust, the lecture will take place at Oriel Ynys Môn in Llangefni - home to Oriel Kyffin Williams - at 7.30pm tonight.
