Weekend weather (27 November 2009)
This evening a few scattered showers and some dry weather, then after midnight a band of rain will spread across Wales. Some of the rain heavy with gusty winds and a little snow on the mountains. Lowest temperatures close to freezing inland. 6 on the coast.
Tomorrow north Wales can expect some rain in the morning. Again a little snow on the higher hills and mountains. South Wales drier and brighter with some sunshine and a few showers, mainly near the coast. During the afternoon, it should brighten up in the north with a couple of showers. Becoming fine in the south. Top temperatures 6 Celsius in Wrexham, 9 in Swansea with a west to north-westerly breeze falling light in the afternoon.
If you're in Cardiff for the rugby tomorrow, showers are likely in the morning but with a change in wind direction the afternoon should become fine with sunshine. Highs around 9 Celsius, 48 Fahrenheit.
Tomorrow evening it'll be dry for a time with a slight frost, especially in mid and north Wales. However, there is a risk of rain spreading from the south later in the evening and overnight.
Sunday may turn out cold, wet and windy depending on the track of an area of low pressure with some snow on the higher hills and mountains. Top temperatures 4 to 9 Celsius with a fresh to strong north-easterly wind giving a significant wind chill.
Monday looks much drier and brighter with one or two showers but cold with a north wind. Highs 4 to 8 Celsius.
Tuesday will start frosty with some rain later in the day.
