Baby survives after being run over by train

Louisa Compton | 11:17 UK time, Friday, 16 October 2009

A six month old baby's had a miraculous escape after his pram was dragged thirty metres along a train track in Australia. His mother could only watch as the buggy rolled off the platform just as the train came into the station. In the end though the baby only got a cut to the forehead.

I don't think this should be available to watch. Not realising how I would react - I watched it and sobbed. I have never in my life witnessed such desperate terror that you can clearly see in the body language of that poor mother on the video.

This video shocked me but I do not think it should be taken offline. This video serves to make others aware of this hazard and that situations can change in only a few seconds. I'm relieved that the baby survived.

What a fantastic outcome for the mother and baby. All he has is a bump on the head and he probably wont even remember it! but that poor mum ! I do hope she makes a full recovery from the shock of what could have been such a horrendous tragedy. I hope the other onlookers get over it too.

I'm glad the baby was fine and the outcome was fantastic. Just a few points to make, what was her right hand doing? Why wasn't it on the buggy? Why not change hands when she needed to go in her left pocket?

I am glad with the baby is doing sound and made out of this
