How did your MP vote?

Louisa Compton | 16:39 PM, Thursday, 28 May 2009

At the end of today's programme Karen in Bournemouth asked us to put a link on the blog to all the MPs who voted in favour of keeping the additional costs allowance for second homes last year. As promised - here it is: MPs who rejected expenses reform.

Really interesting. However I am surprised that no one seems to be highlighting the lack of morality behind David Cameron's claim of mortgage interest when he and his wife allegedly have a personal fortune of £30million. Isn't it a bit rich to be taking a hard line with his MPs when his own actions would appear to be very dubious indeed!

Not a Conservative but was appalled by the lack of examples from Labour and Lib Dems (they do have naughty MPs too!!) on Breakfast today. In the legal run up to an election, and we are within the legal zone where there has to be equality of coverage) there might just have been the opportunity for the producer of Breakfast to show no bias towards or against any one party.

The whole country seems to be getting vaguely hysterical. Its an important issue, but there doesnt feel much logic behind who is being targeted/having to resign these days. Its just possible we might end up loosing some good people.

More and more of this seems to be happening, i.e. the latest Britains Got Talent story today.

Perhaps we all need to pause for reflection somewhere on the line before joining the latest lynch mob

What about those who did not vote?
I am a little puzzled that news from Salford have not been forthcoming:

Well done Louisa for supplying the link.

Just looked to find that my local MP in Birmingham Edgbaston voted against any reform. No surprises there on my part having dealt with her in the past.
