Best live act?

Iron Maiden raised a few eyebrows when they won Best Live Act at the Brits this year. On Monday, we'll review their latest live album Flight 666 in our music review. Tell us who the best live act you've ever seen is. Plus; your thoughts on the new single from Little Boots she's been billed as the star to watch in 2009 - but does she live up to the hype?, Simple Minds frontman, Jim Kerr, will tell us about their new album, Graffiti Soul, and we'll review the new single from American country star Taylor Swift. Also from Monday afternoon, you'll be able to download a podcast of our music review each week.

I don't know about downloading a podcast of the music review, but I do know the review would be best presented from 6-Music, especially as you are using presenters as guests from the station on your programme when John Mann isn't available.
I have tried to like it, especially as I was so harshly criticised for pre-judging, but I'm afraid it just isn't much good, every single week.

And the best live act I have ever seen? On many occasions, Van Morrison, from 1967 until the present day.

Victoria - the music jingle is rubbish, the record/music review is dreadful. Who are you trying to impress? This stuff is worthy of a 6th form debating society not a national radio station.

How old does victoria and her producer think the average age is of people who listen to this show is exactly ?
About 12 years of age I'd say.
Absolutely pants of a music review.
You haven't the kudos or respect of someone such as bob harris thats for sure to even attempt this.Leave it to the professionals victoria.

ive been to some amazing gigs including muse, red hot chili peppers, brian wilson and tinnariwen, who have all put incredible energy into their performances.but a long long distance the best live performance ive ever had the privaledge of witnessing was a flaming lips gig!
wow!they started the show with the front man wayne coyne getting into a man sized plastic bubble and chucked into the audience.talk about getting up close and personal!
the wierdness didnt end there though.about40 extras came on stage in various costumes and remained there throughout the show, just dancing away.there were about 20 young teenagers dressed up as little green aliens to name just one!
there were large balloons released into the audience for us to chuck about and brilliantly intresting video projections!
all this may sound a little gimicky and ott,but if you are familiar with the band you knowjust how doolally they are!it just added to the crowds enthusiasm and what a great atmosphere there was that night.needless to say the bands own effort on stage was second to none and they are already recognised in Q magazines list of 50 bands to see before you die-which is pretty remarkable for a lesser know group!if you get the chance, take up the recommendation,it'll be a memory to stick with you forever!

Well I can't say what really is the BEST live act.
U2 at the Joshua Tree tour was emotional
Bruce Springteen is a great singer
Madonna has the best show
Tina Turner is the best allrounder
And so on.

Iron Maiden are amazing live!
Saw them on their sell-out stadium world tour last year and it was easily one of the best gigs I've ever been at. It was always going to be a formality once nominated they would win a Brit considering the low standard of opponent.
Alice Cooper, Kiss, Judas Priest, Pantera, Moterhead, Ozzy, Prinal Scream and of course the Rolling Stones also put on an excellent show but I would probably edge towards Iron Maiden as best (of the bands I've seen obviosuly and alas I've seen more bad than good).
Special mentions to the Happy Mondays who can still put on a great show despite Shaun having to read the lyrics off an Autocue these days and the Stone Roses who were superb in their day and a lot of my mates think they were the best ever live (the likes of Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Kasier Chiefs, Killers etc don't come remotely close thats for sure!).
I haven't seen AC/DC yet and I am hoping for something spectacular at Hampden on Jun 30 so hopefully come JUL 1 my opinion in regards to who the best live act is will have changed.
