Kevin Pietersen: a future with the England team?
He quit his job as captain when he realised he'd lost the support of senior players but he wants to continue to be part of the England team. Can he do that?

Jonathan Agnew, Dominic Cork and David Lloyd, a former England coach discussed the situation in the Test Match Special podcast
A world class batsman who might again flourish without the pressures of the captaincy perhaps, or someone who has been too headstrong and created too many problems?

I wonder how much did KP really want to be captain? It all started well, but you have to wonder how someone of his personality would have coped with the thrashing in India.
I believe he is one of the best batsmen in the world, and I hope he continues to play for England. However the IPL will be calling rather more loudly now...

I do not think that Kevin Pietersen has any chance of staying in the England team....

I love the way English cricket keeps shooting itself in the foot! KP must be kicking himself too, for not choosing his home country to play cricket for.
I'm sure a lot will come out that we haven't heard when his biography hits the shelves.

I wonder what Chris Cohen would have to say about this :) He needs to sing about cricket too like here:- http://uk.sevenload.com/shows/Chris-Cohen/episodes/gK3dFhW-Steve-McClaren-A-Tribute-Song-clean-version

"He quit his job as captain when he realised he'd lost the support of senior players but he wants to continue to be part of the England team."
Two blatant lies in one sentence. Pietersen didn't resign freely, and he had not lost the support of senior players.
The ECB behaved disgracefully - their only concern was the sleazy gossip being spouted by journalists with no integrity, like you.
