Can you help a man dying of leukemia?

Victoria Derbyshire | 08:19 AM, Monday, 14 July 2008

On the programme today we'll talk again to Adrian Sudbury - he's dying of leukemia and he's on a mission to get a a compulsory 40 minute talk to all second year sixth form students about donating blood, bone marrow and organs. He's on his way to achieving that but has hit a stumbling block...maybe you can help..

I have been following Adrian's blog for a while now....

Suggestion to get his message across to the age group required....

Whilst Adrian still has the energy (just) why isn't a pre-rec done of his interview and then scheduled to be played on the Radio 1 morning/drive time and weekend shows. This is the target audience and if the DJ's are involved just perhaps the message may register.

Public Service Broadcasting at it's most effective I feel....

    Hi Dawny,
I'm working with Adrian on his campaign. The reason the Radio 1 thing hasn't been done is because we have been in touch with them numerous times and they don't seem interested.
Adrian has contacted several of the Radio 1 shows and I tried the Sunday Surgery a number of times.
Shame, as it would be a great way of hitting our target age group.
