Following Iris's example

Mark Devenport | 12:17 UK time, Tuesday, 16 March 2010

Jonathan Bell, the DUP's replacement for Iris Robinson in Strangford, followed her example last night when he got thrown out of the chamber by the Deputy Speaker John Dallat after accusing Caitriona Ruane of misleading the Assembly over the vexed issue of prep schools. At one point the Deputy Speaker halted proceedings to reprimand spectators ion the gallery for making too much noise, which prompted Ian Paisley to defend them on the grounds they were ignorant of the ruling. David McNarry broke into impromptu Ulster Scots telling the Deputy Speaker "Och, Go Away!" We'll have more on the rumbustious debate on this afternoon's Stormont Live.

    Mark,

Talking of Iris, is Peter still prostituting himself to Sinn Fein?

Jonathan Bell could have retracted his comments and stayed in the chamber. Either his pride wouldn't let him, or he had decided that the publicity of this would be good for his profile. When morality falls down, wrong becomes right and vis versa. The endgame for this failed state is surely a desperate thing to behold for any genuine protestants as it is for catholics alike. When Gerry and Martin are stateside, there's not much glamour left in Norn iron. Apart from Jim Allister, not.

What a bunch of wasters, its like something out of a fawlty towers episode. Someone with power should use the Mental Health Act and section the majority of those idiots up at Stormont, why do people willingly vote those people in every time there is an election. The best of it is that most of them are former solicitors, lawyers or buissnessmen, Caitriona Ruane needs to re-haul the education system here because if thats the way our best get on then our system is no better than a third world country.

We would be better taking the bulldozer's to stormont and clearing the way to erect a massive circus tent, too many over paid clowns frequent that place.
Do they ever actually discuss anything that might improve our country?
