i was chatting to Gerry Adams yesterday after interviewing him about the internal reshuffle which is seeing Pat Doherty replaced by Mary Lou McDonald as Vice President. He revealed that he had just started blogging on the BelfastMedia site.
Gerry's first blog post dwells on last year's political departures, by Bertie and Ian Snr. Now that Pat Doherty is stepping down as Vice-President (if not as West Tyrone MP and MLA) I wondered whether the Party President was considering following suit. He insists that's not under consideration and that he has plenty of work to do in 2009.

PROBABLY THE MOST BORING BLOG EVER
Against my better judgement I dipped into Gerry Adams's Blog.
Verdict: His writing skills are on a par with his oral skills i.e. mind-numbingly boring.
Positive point: The perfect cure for insomnia.

Hmm..... so he thought that blogging would help him show that he's not actually vacuous and can deal in some level of detail.
So what are his comments on the job losses at FG Wilson

Gerry "something must be done" Adams - he's not actually going to say what must be done of course, except that its probably the fault of partition and an Irish Language Act would have secured the jobs.
He's turning into a cartoon character of himself by the day.

Now that the 150 day stalemate is over Gerry needs something to do. Maybe in his spare time he will realise 2 things
1. No one wants a united Ireland
2. The election results in the south show that the Irish People don't want Sinn Fein or their agenda

To add on to my last comment. Why doesn't Gerry do what his lookalike and same surname do? Play darts. Gerry could also be called wolfie. Remember - "nothing can beat a bit of bully".

Poor old Gerry. It's hard to take him seriously when you know he can't have you shot any more.
We are experts at electing wastes of space, but by god he takes the biscuit.
