Ian Paisley Jr. - An apology
It has been brought to the BBC's attention that on 5 December 2008 two readers of the BBC "Devenport Diaries" blog posted comments on the entry entitled "Bush Tucker Trial Declined" regarding Mr Ian Paisley, Jr. It was unfortunate that these inappropriate comments came to be published and the BBC unreservedly apologises to Mr Paisley for any damage or distress that these comments may have caused.

I am very glad that the BBC took corrective action and apologised to Mr. Ian Paisley; and, also for any damaged and/or distress that caused to his family and friends.....
Thanks again.....

BY THE WAY, WHAT ABOUT DAVID HILDITCH?
Slightly off-piste and not intended to cause damage or distress, can someone tell me the outcome of this case?

I am sure both of you feel suitably scolded! At least I had the chance to read the comments before they were removed and if I hadn't seen them, would have thought I had missed something!
It's good to know that Ian Paisley Jnr has the time to read the Devenport Diaries. However, the only problem now for the future is, that if the dreaded moderators don't spot a 'suspect' comment, some MLAs will take steps to have them sensured!
