Taking a break
Noah (not the two-by-two man in the ark but the commentator who's no fan of just the one Assembly) spotted signs of frivolity on the blog last week. Well spotted Noah. Must have been de-mob happy.
Off for a few days with the family - back to blogging next week.

I'm Betsan Powys, BBC Wales' political editor. I'll be blogging the inside track on

Congratulations to you good and faithfull "NOAH". To be known and referred to by the redoubtable BP must have made your day!. Us ordinary folk can only look up in shock and awe at such fame and will continue our plainly limited campaign in your slipstream.

Snoutsintrough.
I'll try not to let the fame go to my head. It will be difficult, what with the autograph hunters and suchlike.
It's already started. Last night I awoke in the early hours to find a ladder against my front bedroom window.
Down in the garden, in the pouring rain, Charlotte Church, Katherine Jenkins,Cerys Matthews, and Catherine Zeta Jones were there, soaked to the skin, fighting each other to get onto the ladder.
It really was a frightening experience, I didn't know which way to turn, though I was inclined to give Catherine Zeta a helping hand !
Next morning I mentioned this to Mrs. Sembly. With the common sense realism that Mountain Ash girls are renowned for, she set her head at an angle, folded her arms, and demanded to know.... "I want the truth now, how long has this been going on, and just who the hell is this Betsan Powys" ?
The price of fame.

Noah,
Any chance of a photo of those girls fighting to get on the ladder? How wet were they?

Merthyrmiddleeast....04:31 am !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The very fact that you saw fit to post such a request at such an unearthly hour would lead many to question your sleeping habits.
In young Betsan's absence, for her blog to degenerate into such Bwand, Woss, debauwchewey just cannot be tolewated.
In any case, as you are from Merthyr, I very much doubt if your good self, or indeed anyone who resides north of the Hoover factory would be in a financial position to afford such photographs....even if they existed....(wink emoticon).
PS. Merthyr,
Have you considered easing up on the late night vindaloos and strong coffee. It should improve your sleep, and even water down the somewhat erotic nature of your dreams.(another wink emoticon).

Can't deny you a moment of glory, Noah.
But unfortunately neither my bp, or anything else, is raised by BP. Take that as a sign of frivolity, if you must.
