Beautiful: Jamie's photo shortlist

The One Show Team | 14:33 UK time, Friday, 17 April 2009

One Show wildlife photographer Jamie Crawford has chosen his favourite photographs from the 'Beautiful' category. Here they are:

  • 'Ponies at Dawn' by Roger Hatley from the New Forest

poniesatdawn.jpgRoger, 61, is retired and lives in Hive. This image of ponies grazing in the mist at dawn was taken at Lyndhurst in the New Forest. He took the picture really early one morning in August and Roger says he had never seen light like it before.

Roger is a member of a camera club and often enters competitions, he does "very well" but is always surprised about which ones people like. He admits to not being a patient photographer but does always have his camera at the ready.

  • 'Owl from above' by Stephen Durrant from Norfolk

However, Jamie's overall favourite photograph in this category was:

  • 'Garden snail' by Andrew Thompson from Bury, Lancs
