What did you think of The One Show? Guest: Benny Andersson

The One Show Team | 16:33 UK time, Friday, 3 July 2009

Benny Andersson, with Adrian and Christine

Adrian and Christine were joined in the studio by Abba 'Super Trouper' Benny Andersson.

Amanda Barrie, in Manchester, looked back at the moors murders. Crime writer Martina Cole was in the studio to tell us why she's decided to back an independent search to find the body of victim Keith Bennet.

Angellica Bell travelled to Bridport in Dorset to find out about the town's famous net making industry. It produced the nets for Wimbledon and the 1966 World Cup!

One Show viewers Suzanne and Chris Hodder contacted the show when a high-street retailer refused to help them with their faulty games console. Dom Littlewood told them about their rights under the Sales of Goods act. The retailer has now sent a replacement console to the couple. If you're in a similar situation, there's useful info here.

Christine Walkden met eccentric gardener Geoff Barret in Bedfordshire.

And finally, ABBAration were in the studio to pay homage to Benny Andersson. Did the duo do them justice?

Watch this week's One Show Web Show! Adrian and Christine respond to your comments, stories and photos.

Hi. Normally Christine has fantastic taste in clothes and heels .... but tonight???? Please can the wardrobe department refrain from forcing the poor girl to wear ugly clumpy house bricks,i.e. wedges, they dont suit her (or anyone really). It's really upset my boyfriend! Thank you.

Me too, Adrian looked like Benny Hill, thats not a bad thing, Benny Hill was a much loved character. Famous footballers, Jacky Milburn, Jack Chatlton, his brother Bobby, were born and bred in my home town, in fact I went to same school as Jack and Bobby.

Great show as usual with Benny a super guest. Loved the ABBAration close and immediately thought what a great idea for a slot for this years 'Children in Need'. Was Adrian being 'Bjorn' or Bjork'?

Christine we know can sing and always looks stunning, but who else to make up the ABBAration quartet? I suggest possibly Myleene Klass and Dan Snow.

Alternatively why not a One Show team to take on the 'Eggheads'?

Re 11: some might say that Adrian always bears more than a passing resemblance to Bungle... but still, no bad thing for him to be compared with a British institution like our friend, the one & only Bungle.

Re 14: Can I offer Lucy Siegle as a suggestion for the quartet? Please Lucy...

I'm sure you'll mention it on the next prog.

We love the One Show...we were watching Friday night in our kitchen whilst eating dinner. When Christine and Adrian did the Abba routine, we nearly choked laughing on our pasta. It was probably one of the most funniest things we had seen for ages. Adrian, you really did look like Benny Hill...sorry. Your wigs were hilarious...keep em coming! best wishes Christine and Steve Dunstan.

I'd like to see Adrian, and Christine do a Benny Hill scetch, the one were Benny chases the girls in the woods, then they turn round and chase him, Christine Walkden could help to make up the numbers with Christine Bleakley.
