Christine and Adrian's ABBA tribute!

The One Show Team | 14:49 UK time, Monday, 6 July 2009

Benny Andersson, of seventies supergroup ABBA was the guest on The One Show, Friday (03/07/09).

The band sold around 380 million albums and spawned a record-breaking musical and blockbuster film, Mamma Mia. Benny, their main composer, penned classics such as Thank-you for the music, Dancing Queen and Knowing Me, Knowing You.

As a tribute to this musical legend, Adrian and Christine thought it only fitting to don catsuits, flares and platform heels in their take of ABBA's hit Take a Chance on Me.

I thought it was extremely funny and brilliant
I also think that Adrian Childs is a dead ringer for Benny Hill

Can I add as well the item about the picture of the swan, that was on the show on Monday 6th July, it looked like the same sort of picture that was in Friday nights(3rd July) episode of Hotel Babylon where the jewels was hidden behind.

    Keep up the good work

Further view on Abba "tribute"-Benny Anderson's face was a picture-obviously thinking "I will never understand the British sense of humour"-but then he did say that he thought Pierce Brosnan has a good singing voice so perhaps he has lived here too long.
Perhaps the show could have a competition for awful Abba send ups-Adrian and Chris obvviously in pole position but I recall over the years,Not the nine o clock news,French and Saunders,Alan Partridge doing similar sketches-perhaps viewers could also send in their efforts-would make for an amusing show

Like others I thought that Adrian did a superb impression of Benny........... Benny Hill that is. Do put up a couple of pictures on the screen.

It is a great show how about giving a prize if anyone spots Chritine wearing an outfit she has had on before. I guess that she has a pantectnican rather than a wardrobe.

Adrian in that brown wig, is a dead ringer for Charles Bronson, in the blonde wig!? I'm thinking along the lines of Shirley Temple, Christine looked good as usual, and is a naturall born dancer, both are good sports. Well done!

Given the chance Christine can probably sing. Otherwise the piece was toe curling aweful. Many say that Adrian Chiles looks like Benny Hill. Sadly, the similarity stops there. Benny hill had a sharp brain that produced fine comedy. As for Adrian.........
