Comedian Dave Gorman joined us in The One Show studio.
Anita Rani explored issues around kinship carers.
Mr Gorman looked at technology that was designed to make our lives easier but really just should have been left on the drawing board. What's your crazy invention?
The National Grid is responsible for distribution of all the electricity produced in the UK. Its office is in a secret location, Carol Kirkwood was lucky enough to visit.
And Mike Dilger carried out a wildlife survey in John Lennon's childhood back garden. And guess what? He found a beetle!

I may be partly responsibile .
I always watch the One Show and as i hate Eastenders and Coronation Street.
I go straight into the kitchen and switch on the dishwasher, then make a cup of tea ( sad or what) ?.
Last night was slightly different, i did all that then i listened to the west ham/west Brom game .
Are we staying up Adrian ?

usual format,,promo for a book,a film,a cd or similar(this time a new bbc prog),,,london based guest,a topic filmed in london,,,a pointless visit all the way to john lennons garden to see a frog and a mouse,a film about electricity from the bbc weather girl that never strays far from the london that covers a subject that was covered by another station recently in an almost identical way.the story about relatves taking children in was interesting but only scratched the surface.
why do i watch it-because i enjoy it(generally)
much better now the lisping posh girl isnt on any more.

Christine looks so pretty (although the laughing has got to stop) but by contrast sitting next to her as co-presenter seems to be a large bag of rancid tripe with a birmingham accent. Talk about beauty and the beast!

WHAT IS THE ONE SHOW FOR
THE PRESENTERS ARE SICOPHANTIC AND VERY PHONEY - DONT THINK IVE EVER SEEN WORSE - THE TOPICS AND ISSUES ARE ALSO PROBABLY THE WORST EVER - I FAIL TO SEE WHAT IF ANYTHING THE ONE SHOW ACHIEVES THAT A DIFFERENT SHOW WOULDNT - IF THE TIME SLOT WAS LEFT BLANK IT WOULD BE A BETTER USE OF THE TIME. - I REALLY HOPE THE ONE SHOW IS TAKEN OFF AIR SOON AND SOMETHING MORE MEANINGFUL TO THE BRITISH PUBLIC IS PUT IN ITS PLACE.
