What did you think of The One Show? Christopher Biggins, guest
Christopher Biggins joined Adrian and Christine in the studio.
Matt Allwright visited Gedling - a suburb in Nottingham where parking charges are being introduced this August. Are parking charges over the top?
Hardeep Singh Kohli travelled to Whitelee Wind Farm in Glasgow. Will it become a heritage site? What are the heritage sites of the future?
Adrian Chiles met Zac in Wolverhampton. Zac's a very special boy. He helps to care for his autistic younger brother. Watch all of our Comic Relief films here.
And Kirstin O'Brien headed to Hertfordshire to discuss agony aunts and how their roles have changed over time.
There's no show on Friday due to Red Nose Day, so we'll see you next week. Have a great weekend and don't forget the doodle auction!

Does the charity who gives Zac his break have a website? I think it was called Sturgeons but can't find anything on Google related to young carers! Thanks. Caspar

Isn't Christopher Biggins allowed his opinions to that building on the One Show? Does everyone have to conform to the BBC line?

bearing in mind the one show, good as it is,is a national television show from a public service broadcaster can we have one episode that does not have a topic from london or mentions london?
most people do not live in london but nearly every show has a film that features london or it's people.

What happened to Huw Edwards?

good point what did happen to him,and in typical one show style no mention of the change ,the reason etc

I can actually believe that the Dear Deirdre team answer every letter they get as I reckon they only get about 2 a week. Judging by the content of the others they make them up themselves. By the way, I'm 46 and my wife is 49 and have been happily married for 20 years but last week her sister came round to babysit and...(you get the idea). ;-)

We were very disappointed that Huw Edwards (who was trailed on the previous night's show) did not appear - without any explanation. Very unprofessional.

up to now the bids for the charity doodle artwork is over £1600.
i cannot afford to bid for it,and i am sure most of the viewers are in the same position.
all the beebs creative minds should be able to devise a way that raises money and gives the rich and the poor an equal chance of getting the doodles.

Maybe Biggins will be reading the 10 o'clock news tonight as well.
Where was Huw Edwards?

Post 8, an on-line raffle maybe? Theoretically possible.

i think the comment made by matt allwright about charity shops not being real was really bad because the people that work in these places and the consumers that use them would certainly think differentl. This comment was uncalled for

Hello Host Ryan. Like others on this site I am baffled as to why Mr. Biggins appeared on the sofa last night but not Huw Edwards as trailed in your pre programme slot. I don't think any reason or explanation was given on air so could you please tell us what happened? Thanks.

If this show was designed to show Adrian Chiles in a more symathetic and caring light it failed!! It was the usual wooden unmoved performance as usual, and he still hasn't learned how to use autocue!!!!

Chiles it was great to see your short film about young cares last night. My two sons are young cares for me and the problem is funding. My eldest son's group he goes to has lost it funding now. So lets hope this makes young cares more aware now thank you.

Groups helping young carers, or any age group should not have to rely on charity, it should be government funded, carers save the government, and the tax payers a lot of money.

Obviously no-one from the show is prepared to answer the several people who have asked about the absence of Huw Edwards. Also, why is there no means of contacting the programme directly?

One should never complain about the absence of Huw Edwards!
