regular blogger robertbridget said that my constant comments about the ever present london topics was losing its effect.
what effect?
the producers pay no attention.
last night the show started with a london topic,,,tonight 2 london topics on the trot.
regular bloggers know my complaint but i do not know of another way to get it through to the one show production staff.
i like the show,i am just so fed up of having london topics every night with london based guests giving us the london perspective.
the show is well produced,on the whole well presented with some good guests,,, i like tonights very much.
robert bridget may be right and i am sorry if i am annoying some but this blog is for all to pass comment on the evenings show without being nasty to anyone-that is what i am doing.

Dan Snow,
As a historian, you ought to be ashamed. Wolsey may have been in disgrace and under arrest but he was not executed on the orders of Henry VIII. He died of natural causes.

Been beaten to it several times (blimey the bureaucacy to sign in is horrendous ( :-)) _ but TDan Snow's report got better after very inaccurate start! Sorry Dan, Cardinal Wolsey wasn't executed - he died (possibly fortunately for him?) on the way to London - Wolsey was forced to "gift" Hampton Court to Henry slightly earlier

It is not the first time that there have been complaints about Mr Snow not doing his homework.

does anyone agree-when they make an obvious mistake on the one show the matter should be mentioned and cleared up on the next available show at least then we would feel that this blog has a purpose.

Is it just me, or am I the only one to feel sorry for tonight's snails, deprived of water and food for two days, then boiled alive, if some one did that to a hamster, they would be up in court, I've gone right off shell fish now, all those crabs and lobsters, boiled alive, don't try to tell me they don't feel it, they must. it is just me isn't it ?

I have watched the one show since approximately Xmas, I have yet to hear any blog postings read out, so why are the one show asking us for our input, according to the postings on this site, there seems to be no shortage of opinions.

In addition to his other glaring errors of fact mentioned above Dan Snow said that "recent" research had shown that Henry was for most of his life a fit, slim, attractive, intelligent and accomplished man. What "recent" research is this - I was taught that at school. My school days are certainly not recent. This is just another example to add to that sorry catalogue of factual errors that is The One Show. The show demonstrates a lazy, casual and superficial approach in all that it does. And have you noticed that with all those past errors of fact The One Show has never attempted to broadcast a correction? They just keep their heads down in the mistaken assumption that no one will notice.
I feel another formal complaint coming on. I believe that is the only way to get through to the producer. I am convinced that the producer does not see these blogs. What has happened to Ryan?

Re 1, 2, 6, 7 & 8: The One Show producer is on record saying that show is gloriously Reithian. Lord Reith insisted that the BBC should entertain, educate and inform its audience; and in his day it did. I do not think he would have tolerated the many errors of fact that have appeared on The One Show.
In my opinion the BBC is still the finest broadcasting organisation in the world. However, The One Show suggests that the BBC's grip on that accolade is tenous.
The One Show lets the BBC down.

If Clare Balding is a horse-racing expert, why is she on the BBC when the national broadcaster is abandoning the sport?
