This is a dreadful programme. It is just awful without meaning. Not good presentation and not good with the way the presentors treat the guests. It really is time the BBC took a look at it!!

I was under the impression that it was the "British Music Experience" yet the first guy they speak to says "English music" sorry did I miss something or have Wales, Ireland & Scotland been excomunicated from "Britain"

I think you'll find, if you bother to read the polls and consider the number of complaints that were made to the BBC with respect to the treatment of Carol Thatcher, Gaza Appeal and Johnathan Ross \ Russel Brand incident, that Robertandbridget blog 16 does in fact reflect overwhelmingly the opinions of the British viewing public.
Although your blog no 18 may have made you feel good for a brief moment it adds nothing to the debate and is wholly inaccurate.
In future when submitting the contents of a blog please consider its interest value, accuracy and relevancy.

I’ve just returned from a long haul flight and consequently have had problems returning to my normal GMT sleeping patterns.
However, I stated watching a rerun of the One Show from last week and within 5 minutes I fell asleep.
Watching the One Show....... a simple and effective cure for insomnia.

Tonight for a while I thought that Chile's had improved. There was even a touch of warmth and intelligence to his performance. Then he slipped back to his true innate inane self. Not so supercilious I admit. But he is clearly intimidated by Dan Snow's presence, knowledge and chosen subject, history. Dan Snow produced an interesting and balanced piece on the East India Company which he managed to squeeze into a just a few minutes. All of this antagonised Chiles. He responed in his usual fashion by of being dismissive, flippant and patronising. He made a remark something like "you're very clever Dan". The man is buffon.
PS. Christine's top was divine and Adrian was the epitome of sartorial elegance.

Who out there truly believes that Adrian Chiles is worth a salary of £1,000,000 a year from our licence fee?
Bear in mind that allegedly Christine is paid much less and has recently taken a cut in salary along with others; but not Adrain Chiles?

Is there a full moon tonight? Something seems to have bought out the reinstate Thatcher brigade again.
And don't bother with the tired argument of "You obviously work for The One Show / BBC" which seems to be brandished at anyone who dares to disagree, because I don't.
The BBC has many faults too numerous to mention and it's good points too. Maybe scrapping the licence fee and going commercial could solve some of the problems, but then we's have every channel full of adverts for 'ambulance chasing' compensation companies and their ilk every 15 minutes or so.

We all know that Adrian Chiles is not worth £1.2 million per year and Jonathan Ross is not worth £6 million per year.
Also who would employ Jo Brand except for New Labour BBC?
The reality is that a decent person has been branded a racist by The One Show and unfairly dismissed.

I do not disagree that Chiles and Ross are overpaid and you can include, Wogan, Moyles, Norton, Forsyth and countless others with them. Similarly the likes of Schofield, Ant & Dec are massively overpaid on ITV.
I can also never understand the need for BBC News to have a reporter ( and associated camera crew) camped outside Downing Street or Parliament whenever a political item is high on that days news agenda at 10pm for the late news, when the chances of them actually seeing anybody to interview are remote to say the least.
However, the sport, wildlife and drama (generally) output is of a good standard and does represent excellent value.
Compared to the cost of many cable or satellite packages maybe the licence fee is't so bad, and to reiterate an earlier point - no adverts.

You just need to get over it, she's been sacked and the decision is hardly likely to be reversed. Besides which with her name and connections I doubt if she'll struggle for work.

You have used these hypothetical questions previously and they say more about you than they do about Carol Thatcher.
People with extreme politically correct views are often amoral with regard to other important issues.
Her connections and being a Thatcher are hardly a good reason why you support her unfair sacking by New Labour BBC and The One Show.

She wasn't sacked because of her name or connections, get your facts right.
Neither was the sacking unfair. The BBC, whether it be in a green room, canteen or toilet is a place of work. Most responsible employers have clearly laid down guidlines on intolerance and discrimination in the workplace.
Neither am I extremely politically correct, I just can't abide racism whether it be direct, indirect or a casual comment.
Whether my question (which you seem reluctant to answer) is hypothetical or not, it does not excuse what she said.
Incidentally I do have moral sensibility and care about what's right and wrong - quite the opposite of being amoral.

The One Show!!!! I love The One Show i think its great. I look forward to sitting down and waiting to know who is going to be on the next show.
I loved it wen Chris Moyles was on The One Show because he has such a great sence of humour. I read the other blogs on Chris Moyles and i think they are appaling if people listen to him on the radio more they'll probably get to understand his humour xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I take your point about News crews. But their presence is often triggered by whispers to them from Downing Street. BBC News is probably the finest in the world. It is much respected around the world. BBC World Service is untouchable in its excellence and probity. The BBC is the finest broadcasting organisation in the world bar none. That is why I become disappointed when they serve up a lazy production like the The One Show. I can remember its predecessors like 'Tonight' and 'Nationwide'. Those two programmes showed the BBC at its best. No one could have done it better. That is not the case with The One Show and its casual, lazy presenter Adrian Chiles.

Hasn't quite gone away has it? The bitterness around what happened with C.T. Those who gave us their opinions, expressed their outrage and put down anyone who either didn't agree with them or had grown tired of their repetitive comments still leap out of the woodwork whenever they can and try to keep the ball in the air. I applaud the efforts of Cairnterrier and Juanshow, among others, to ask them to move on but sadly you are probably wasting your time. As we can see accusations such as "you are part of the One Show team", "you are on the production team" etc are the usual responses. Even a visit to a publically broadcast show months ago had me labelled as an "insider"!(Was that me and the 200 others who were present that evening I wonder). Oh and the C.T. supporters also like to adopt a patronising attitude as well and make assumptions about the gender, age and disposition of those who don't agree with them. It can be quite funny but it's best not to defend oneself. Just wind 'em up and watch them go!
P.S. I am trying very hard to understand the mindset of those who HATE everything about The One Show but watch it regularly just so they can tell others on the site how much they ...er..hate it.
