Dom Littlewood investigated which is more economical, booking holidays through brochures or DIY tailored trips. For more info, click here.

Dan Snow continued his look at the days that helped form modern Britain. Today he explored the story of the signing of the Magna Carta. Tell us the historical days that you think were most important here. Watch 'Days That Changed Britain' films so far here.

Carol Kirkwood visited the London Traffic Centre to meet the people who manage greater London's traffic system.

2 solutions for Adrian's script problem. Attach a chain to a belt loop on your trousers and at the other end have a bulldog clip to hold you script. Or put one half of a piece of velcro on the back of your script and the other half on your trouser leg. Or if you don't want to ruin your trousers wear a garter (oooeeerrr) with the required piece of velcro.

It would be nice to see more variety in 'anchor' presentation in this show, perhaps the whole team could rotate in presenting it? It would give variety and a different perspective othere that changing the channel!

as a practising professional engineer(not a fitter on an assembly line who also do a massivley imprtant job despite Dysons views), the one sided view that was offered this evening was an insult to my industry, I have felt for a long time that the presenters are a complete and utter waste of time, not really sure I should continue to pay my licence fee to support such a poor programme

I always watch the One show, but I must comment on Dan Snow's outside broadcast tonight - he looked an utter mess - tatty jeans, crumpled shirt not even tucked in. Was he in the middle of gardening and suddenly asked to present this item. What about standards and looking smart on the BBC. In fairness, there seems to be a trend amongst BBC male presenters to dress ultra casual, wearing jeans, t-shirts etc. In my job in retail I wear neat slacks, shirt and tie. If I dressed like Dan I would be sent home. Christine and indeed other femail presenters always look very smart and attractive. Adrian also makes the effort with a jacket, ironed shirt etc.

I do wish that Dan the man would get it right.
The Magna Carta didn't change Britain, it only applied to England, and even then didn't apply to the majority of English, only to the ruling classes, the Barons and landowners.
Scotland developed its own legal system

I thought that Christine's top was divine, and that Adrian was the epitome of satorial elegance.

Now, having dealt with the important matters let's get on to what the teenage producer clearly believes to be the trivia. The signing of Magna Carta was one of the most important events in world history. Dan Snow explained it well. But why, oh why, oh why does Chiles turn flippant and supercilious when confronted by anything intellectual or historically important? Only a man with such a momumental opinion of his own self importance would try to trivialise and make fun of Magna Carta. Chiles was visibly peeved by Al Murrays knowledge. In revenge, Chiles adopted a patronising tone towards Murray. Chiles has previous for all this. The man is a buffoon.

I can think of several presenters, for that is all that Chiles is, who would do the job better at a fraction of the salary. Not least Hardeep.

Good point Jobrite. But what do you expect some of those people with Adrian Chiles in their sights probably still haven't got over the events of November 1990 yet, so they're not going to let something this recent go.

I was pleasantly surprised by Al Murray. I don't like his type of humour so would not normally watch him but he's actually a very intelligent bloke. Beats me why somebody so intelligent wants to act like a clown for a living but I really enjoyed him on The One Show.

I have no quarrel with Chiles over the CT affair. It happened in private. I had stopped watching the One Show long ago because I had found it bland, uniformative, superficial and boring. In particular, Adrian Chiles irritated me with his supercilious manner. I started to watch again albeit occasionally when I read that Chiles was on a salary of £1,000,000 a year. Do you think he is worth such a sizeable chunk of our licence fee?

Al Murray is probably very funny- I've not come across him but the title of his new show- Al Murray's multiple personality disorders- is upsetting for someone who has a personality disorder and finds it very hard to live with. The term " personality disorder" may just be seen as a funny take on life but if viewers think back a few years when the press ran stories which were meant to scare about people with PDs then maybe they will understand for those who have to live with the diagnosis it can be very upsetting. People with a range of personality disorders have real mental health problems. Maybe The One Show, which I generally find enjoyable and informative, should not just laugh alongside their guests but sometimes question whether there is an issue that needs to be raised and possibly investigated. It would be interesting if you took up this challenge.

I think the one show is great I think Adrian has smartened himself up although I never had a problem with his dress sense I notice some people did. I like all the presenters especially Hardeep and the conversation is interesting some more than others there is always some reason to come on computer and have a say on subjects on every show. I also hope the phone never rings and interrrupts the show. Long may the show reign.
