What did you think of the show? (19/12/08)

Host_Ryan - One Show team | 17:45 UK time, Friday, 19 December 2008

Adrian and Christine with brass bandComic stars Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer were The One Show's guests on our final programme before Christmas.
Adrian and Christine are pictured, above, with the Redbridge Brass Band - they played us out at the end of the show.

Your photos of Christmas lights made an appearance and Dom Littlewood gave us some energy savings tips.

Our celeb-packed Christmas story was mentioned. Viewer Dom from Buckinghamshire wrote the ending. Watch the exclusive film here.

Jon Culshaw went behind the scenes at the Doctor Who 2008 Christmas Special. Watch the film.

The One Show's Clare Balding was at Olympia, The London International Horse Show, where she met Katie Price.

And our street barber Michael Douglas flew to Germany to treat some army wives to a Christmas haircut prior to their husbands returning from Iraq.

The One Show team thank you for watching, and for visiting the website. We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

The One Show is back on air at 7:00pm on Monday 12th January 2009.

Dom's report about christmas lights and how to save energy was a bit late - it should have been shown a few weeks ago!!!

I'm sure everyone has their lights up already and if they haven't then I suspect they have already got them, so whilst it was an interesting report it will not make any difference to anyone....

I am glad that, if I spend a lot more money, I can have christmas lights that will last 50 times longer. My present ones have lasted 5 years so 250 years seems good to me! To be frank, some of the tripe put forward as useful information is a bit stupid.

What a great show this is...the only thing wrong with it, is it's Far Too Short!
Adrian, Christine and the rest of the team (especially Hardeep) put on half an hour of pure entertainment 5 days a week for most of the year, & I take my hat off to them all.
    Great stuff.

It was a great show, especially the musical ending. It's been a great year. I love the show . . . BUT . . . Adrian, please stop claiming to have launched Christine Walkden's career. She starred in a lovely programme of her own before The One Show started.

Otherwise, keep up the good work.

    Pete

Hi there thank you for the end of the show where I saw my daughter in law Paula having her hair re-styled and my son arriving home from Iraq. For his family to have him home for Christmas is the best Christmas present I could ever had and to be able to witness his home coming in Germany on your show was amazing (you just didn't have the camera on them for long enough, sorry but i am biased)...Thank you again Regards Jeanette Rosser...xxx

Hi Adrian just wondering when are you next on holiday, because I think you are the worst presenter ever, some of your questions/comments to your guests are very embarrassing, and you are forever playing with your pen or sheet of paper (script), why not move over and let Dom or one of the other co-presenters take over.

    Hi Christine and Adrian
Since this was the last show of the year, just a general comment. Fantastic!
I have never been a follower of early evening magazine progs, (except Tonight in the 60s with Cliff, Fyffe, Alan W etc), but your show gives me a daily 'feel good' fix!
The two of you make Wallace and Gromit look like plasticine dolls! Or maybe you inherited the production team from Monty Python.
Whichever, the screwy, zany, off-beat, irreverant approach to many items (particularly guests) is really refreshing. We tend to tape the program and fast forward past the items to get back to you two again!!
Keep it up - all the team! Look forward to your return in 2009.

You do a really good job, its lively, up to date, helpful with all the different reports and I just love the banter between the two presenters. I'm just a little sad that you have such a long gap before you start back....but you need it, especially Christine after all her dancing. (which we voted for each week)
Its a wonderful show, have a good break but 'haste ye back'!
    Kind Regards,

I was pleased when Adrian got his own show following the Money Programme and the Football but I wish I could understand more than half of what Christine says.I suppose it's because of the tight Northern Ireland jaw ( so Richard Burton used when required.)
Tell Adrian I will be outside the ground just before the Middlesboro' match ringing my bell.
